'93 S13 RB25 NEO/350z 6speed 462whp

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2P9qdz5zSZs

For sale is a 1993 Nissan 240sx with a Skyline GT-T RB25 NEO engine and a 350z 6 speed transmission. To my knowledge it is the only combination like that to ever be successfully completed. This is one of the most well done RB to S13 swaps you will ever find. There has been no expense spared going into this build and it shows.

The car was built at Vision Performance in Hiawassee GA, by Ron Ewerth (driver of the Drift Emporium titian V8 G35) and myself. After the build it was tuned and finalized by Chris Anderson of Balanced Performance in Sugar Hill GA, on an AEM EMS. It makes 462whp and 383 ft lb torque on 93 octane pump gas at 19psi. That is a relatively low power number for what this motor is capable of on C16, or E85. If that fuel were available in my area I would have used it instead and thus increased boost pressure and be in the 520hp area. This motor set has made 640whp when it was tuned on C16 at 23psi when it was used in a Formula D car. This is a daily driver safe tune, anyone could jump in it and drive it anywhere. There are no issues with it at all. This is a ready to rock, complete race machine that will embarrass superbikes on the street.... I pulled away from an older Yamaha R1 at 160mph the other day..

As far as the engine goes, its the bullet proof RB25 NEO iron block with the RB26 crank, rods, pistons and a ROSS metal jacket harmonic balancer. Bottom end is stock, but tough as nails. It was rebuilt a few seasons ago and raced maybe 2-3 times, so it's still very fresh and has a ton of life. Has only used Royal Purple fluids. Its using the Tomei Poncam exhaust camshaft, Tomei adjustable cam gear, Brian Crower springs and retainers, NGK-R spark plugs, and a Nismo oil filler cap. Exhaust is the twin scroll setup with the Full Race twin scroll manifold (a $2,300 manifold!), dual Tial wastegates with custom dump pipes, Garrett GT3076R turbo that is oil and water cooled, DEI titanium turbo blanket and downpipe wrap, 4" stainless exhaust back from the downpipe and a vacuum fitting on the downpipe to help the flow of the catch can. Greddy intake manifold, Tial blow off valve, Greddy front mount intercooler, Greddy profec b-spec II boost controller, K&N air filter with custom fit air filter shield. Fuel delivery is a Walbro 255 fuel pump, RC 555cc injectors, JGY Customs fuel rail, Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator with gauge, AN style fittings and hoses. Koyo radiator, dual low profile fans on relay, Greddy radiator cap, 180* thermostat. Everything is tuned on the AEM EMS system. We used a wiring specialties RB to S13 wiring harness for the swap. Everything is nice and tidy, no bullshit wires hanging out all over the place.

Transmission setup is the 350z 6 speed with a twin disc OS Giken clutch and Driveshaft Shop custom cut driveshaft. Recently put in a new Exedy clutch master cylinder. The differential is a KAAZ 2-way, so it will make that clunking sound going around tight corners and parking lots. All the mounts, adaptor plates and linkages have been machined in house and are completely one off. You cant buy this setup anywhere.

Interior is in really good shape for its age. All the trim is armor alled, and kept clean. It has the Sparco sprint seats on adjustable slider rails, Sparco 3 point harnesses, flawless no-crack dash, manual windows, triple gauge pod in the A/C vent and double on the pillar, Autometer pro-comp ultra lite gauges with blue LED's (boost, wideband A/F, volt, oil psi, water temp), heat works great, no air conditioning, defrost works great, wipers work, all lights function properly, has a stereo with aux port and two front door speakers, 180sx style gauge cluster (digital speedometer does not work), tachometer has been calibrated. The rear seat and plastics have been removed, and the battery is relocated to the trunk.

Suspension setup is pretty basic. TEIN springs, KYB struts, SIKKY front 32mm sway bar, oem skyline R32 rear strut bar, Greddy front strut bar. It handles really well. The tires are very grippy and will not oversteer without putting your foot down. The car is not slammed so you can still drive over speedbumps and inclines without scraping.

Exterior wise it's in super clean shape. The paint is only a few years old and it has never been in any accidents. The roof and trunk lid are wrapped in a carbon fiber vinyl. The front lip is the Xenon style. Headlights work great and are the hyper white HIDs. Bumper lights are painted with the night shade. Kouki taillights and RPS13 center Kevlar garnish. Chuki sideskirts. The front left fender has 2 very small dings caused by an animal running across the road.. damn opossums.. Rear bumper has some scrapes from the previous owner. I have plans to do the rocket bunny SIL80 full body kit with new paint and a different wheel setup by the end of the year if it doesn't sell. Obviously I will be asking more at that point.

The wheels are the 5 lug 18x9.5 MB Battles with Nitto NT05 tires, 12.75" Stoptech slotted front brake rotors with Z32 calipers and extension brackets, EBC bluestuff pads, aluminum blue lug nuts, Stoptech slotted rear rotors with Z32 calipers, 5 lug hubs with new wheel bearings, braided brake lines all around, cable e brake, 300zx BMC. I have 2 extra front Z32 to S13 braided lines if anyone is interested.

I also have the oem RB26 valve/coilpack/timing cover set and that are sanded and ready to be painted with the exact color matching cherry red that came on the GTR34 RB26s. As soon as they are finished I will put them on and add more pictures. I have the skyline GTR34 engine garnish also.

I am very interested in knowing what all was involved to mate the 350z tranny up to an RB series. I've heard rumors of it, but I will be replacing my RB20 tranny shortly and would like confirmation.

@ Syncade I did search, but found nothing documenting this. Carl H is in the process of doing it but its not complete. I did find that they were mating these trannies to 1/2JZs though.

I understand that there will be a lot of questions about the transmission setup and will be happy to answer anything I can, but I would like to keep this thread somewhat "for sale" specific. I can start another thread for that topic if needed.

18k, I think you guys could of done a better job cosmetically in the engine bay; i.e. paint, brake line tuck, complete harness tuck, nicer job on catch can lines.

Function over form. I can do a wire tuck on my buddies civic and that won't add a cent to the value.

For 18k, you better be getting function & form. This thing doesn't even have coilovers. The cheap wheels are just icing on the cake.

Pretty clean and nice motor n tranny setup but I have to agree that it is a little over priced. However that being said I would imagine it took a ton of man hours for the custom trans setup....
