s14 fusible link for ignition keeps blowing

okay so, I haven't had a problem since I bought the car until two nights ago. jacked up the rear end, tightened some loose bolts, set the car back down. I plugged in a connector that has been unplugged since I got it, for the third brake light. Then when I cranked the car, it gave one half assed crank and the car lost power to everything.

I found out it was a popped ignition fuse, in the engine bay fuse box. I replaced it and the car started right up. I was driving to a friend's house today and went to the top of first, put it in second, started pulling, and again. Lost power to everything, gauges/fan/radio, but the hazards still worked. I had my mom run me the spare fusible link, disconnected the battery, put it in, reconnected the battery, and had the key in the ignition at the on position. everything was working, and since I hadn't switched the fans off after the car died, they were on still. I flipped the switch to turn them off before I started the car, and lost everything again.

any ideas? I know fuck all about electrics so yeah.

If your car is on coils I bet it's the driver side fender wiring harness.

If the wiring harness was never relocated, the electrical gremlins from it may be catching up to you now.

I checked, it's been relocated. I also checked the starter wires, they're all on well, and all the grounds I can find look good.

Time to bust out a multimeter, wiring diagram and start chasing wires.

Wait, which fuse is popping? The main fuse or one of the regular fuses for the IGN?
