vq motor intake bolt problems???
So just recently got a 08 z and a friend told me that at 100,000 miles there is a bolt on the intakes that come loose and can get sucked into the engine and destroy my engine...
Has any one heard anything like this, what modle z's does it happen in, where is the bolt, and how do I fix it??? Thanks |

well, i can tell you a bolt worked its way in my first sr, and got crushed into the head and destroyed the block/piston/head.. never did find out where the bolt came from
From what ive heard on other vehicles, it starts at the throttle body butterfly, somehow a bolt orscrew works its way loose, and gets sucked into the intake.
