I had one of the craziest 510's ever. The only thing missing was paint, which is 6k. I sold mine for 10k. SR and everything this guy has on his. And I agree that 25k is reaching. And I don't think that he was saying it was worth 10k, he was just saying that 25k is a bit steep. Like any built car, it's only worth what someone will pay for it. Like I stated above the last bid on this car, on Ebay, was around 13k. So I think that's saying something. Though I don't even know if the car sold or not, or if the guy made a deal off Ebay. So you might have been a little harsh on that dude, just saying. |

Just because you undercut yourself in selling your car for $10k doesnt mean everyone else has to, honestly you shouldve held out until you found the right buyer.

unless you guys have questions for the OP regarding his car (that dont involve arguing over price) or interest in purchasing this kick ass example of a restore-o-rod, please stay out of the thread... kthxbai! |

Dude I don't know why you still have this. It's so awesome. Wait for the right buyer, dude. You don't want an unappreciative fukkboi driving your pride and joy around. I just sold my FRS to the dealership this week.

So in regards to the comments on the $25K price and it being unrealistic and folks jumping in and saying they sound "brokedick and stupid!".........
Here we are 2.5 years later and this still has not sold ( I see the price dropped to $22K OBO). Legitimate question as I have seen wild variations in prices throughout the years while sparingly looking at them from time to time. I have an engine setup here I want to drop into a chassis so I am somewhat in the market . Was/Is the price the issue or did the seller not want to sell (question for you as well rowlo)?? |

guy feels like it's worth the price he put it at.
When you build cars, a lot of times there are people like this. I'm one of them. There's people who love their cars and are not willing to part with it. BUT, there's a point where a person will part with their built vehicle at a certain price. It may not be reasonable, but OP will be happy either with 22K in his hands or his car keys in his hands. He will not be happy with 15k in his hands with no car keys. Yeah he might not have sold the car in 2.5 years. But I bet that was a happy 2.5 years for him. For OP, it is the price he stated. I sold my built vehicle for 10K over market value because that was my price point. I refused to go lower. Maybe it doesn't sound reasonable to you guys, but to OP, that's the pricepoint he's willing to let his car go for. So to him it's reasonable. It doesn't have to be reasonable to you, he's the one selling it. And at the end of the day, OP is happy with either 22K or keeping his well built vehicle. Not 13K. He could give jack shit about satisfying you because he's the one who built it, and he's the one selling it. You guys feel like the OP owes you something like a lower price, he doesn't owe you jack shit. Again, he built the car. He can sell it for however much he wants. |
