A few years back I saw a S13 carbon fiber door, I forget with company it was, they were giving it away if someone guessed the correct weight, anyway on to my question. The door handle looked like the handles you see on Murano's. Anyone know anything about that?

I am not sure if this was asked before or not, but if it was, I'm sorry.

Is it just me or does anyone else suffer from the rubber feet on hood taking of some paint on the 'shock tower'?
It seems to be a hard material that rubbed the paint off.

Are there any softer replacements or do I have to keep repainting that spot (which is very annoying)?

Is there a part number or US part for the SR20det CAS cover gasket?

Changed out the trigger wheel and the gasket is a stretched out 25 year old hot mess. Shit looks like Miley Cirrus's underside.

Two questions

Ive noticed over the years that the doors on my 240 crack and screech whenever winter rolls along. Living in L.A. I've used white grease to lube them up and it seems to be a decent temporary fix. However, now that I moved to the south the winters are colder and im wonder what you 240 owners from the east coast and southern states do to keep your car's hinges from making noise, especially in the winter time?

Also been wondering what's a good PSI i should have my tires inflated on. They are 225-40-18 on an 18x9. How do you folks come about finding the proper inflated level for your tires?

Thanks in advanced.

^wd 40 seems to work best for me. Any way I've got a question about a ka24de throw out bearing. I bought this one on ebay:
oinon.jpg
do those prongs on the side grab the fork and remove the need to press in the piece on the right like on the oem bearings?
11o.jpg
I don't have alot of faith in this one because it was the cheapest on ebay. I am also going for 400+ hp so I may just go back and buy an oem one.

The proper tire psi should be written on the tires.

Nope. You inflate the tires as per the vehicle, not the tire. The pressure listed on the tire is the maximum pressure the tire is rated for.

The correct tire pressure is usually listed in the glovebox or in the drivers door jamb. Remember that it is for stock wheel and tire sizes.

Q1: I use synthetic Silkolene red grease for my rifles and my doors. It stays in place, and does not melt in the heat

Q2: Tires should be ran at 35psi, BUT, PAY ATTENTION NOW, if your car shows uneven wear in the center, drop to 30psi. If it shows wear on the outer edge, jump up to 40psi.
Just becuase the tire says max pressure is 44psi, does not mean you use that. In the case of a 240, you will wear your tires with an overeinflation pattern

Rear exhaust hanger how to reuse it

So I installed my rear bash bar, removing the oem rear bash bar obviously. My question is how to I reuse the exhaust bracket, I'm pretty sure it'll have to be custom right ? Pictures with anyone having a custom setup would be greatly appreciated as I am trying not to use a wire hanger to support the tip of my exhaust. Pm me please

Power loss problems?

So was sliding my sr20 swapped s13 coupe and out of no where I felt a sudden loss in power, car boosts fine, idles fine. But sounds like a lawnmower so i thought I would compression test it and I have everything hooked up fine but my compression gauge is like falling. pretty much it seems to build compression fine but losses compression. Seems like I'm blowing up a balloon that has a hole in it. What do you guys think?

Bought a shifter bezel for real cheap, didnt realize that the boot is held in place by the plastic prongs that stick out on the bottom. Long story short theyre all busted and I have no way of attaching the bottom trim.

Was thinking of just drilling 5 holes that line up with the trim and holding it with 5 screws.

Anyone have any other ideas or experience before I do this?

This isn't S chassis related but it's really annoying me.

I replaced the right rear brake caliper on my Protege the other day.
At first, the handbrake didn't work at all. But I've noticed it's slowly getting back to normal and engaging like it should.

.. Why? I've done rear brakes on lots of my other cars and this never happened? Not really a big deal but it's really weird.

Weird question:
Does your S13's ashtray light, light up very dimly if you adjust your side mirrors?
I didn't notice this until I took my ashtray out and I was fiddling with the mirror switch.

So fucking weird.

Is it a screw and nut style parking brake integrated into the brake caliper? They must be adjusted after maintenance. To adjust them, repeatedly apply and release the parking brake. The self-adjusting spring in the caliper will keep them adjusted correctly.

Does anyone know where I can get a NRG qr steering wheel hub? The assembly comes in two parts the part that mounts to the steering column and the other that mounts to the steering wheel. Im looking for the part that mounts to the steering wheel.

Fuck NRG and their shit. Get a Bell Works Hub. All teh NRG guys told me that their shit worked with the 240 horn which was pure lies. When I finally got to the one tech who told the truth at Enjuku, he said straight up, 'THE only adapter and QD that works with your 240 horn is WORKS BELL. Buy once, cry once, but it's the best out there" This was also verified with one call to Touge Factory who also said the only one that works is Works bell

How far do the lies from NRG spread? From Peter Lee who sells that shit here, all the way to the top techs(unless they fired them and told them to tell the truth).

Go through Touge Facotory or Enjuku and get a Works Bell adapter and QD, you will be a lot happier
Did I say Fuck NRG's adapters yet?

Maybe get a small piece of 'closely' colored vinyl and attach it there? Or even clear vinyl?

Gonna be custom. Not hard to make yourself either, you can get universal hangers and then use a bolt up up in the frame/get fancy with it. Or take it to a muffler shop and make it fancy

Get another gauge and try again. It should hold due to the check valve in the gauge.

Any codes?
Any vacuum leaks?
How do the plugs look?
Verified fuel/spark?

Boot or the trim piece itself? You could probably glue the shift boot part up to the trim piece

Being a remanned caliper, it's hard to say what is in side of it, or how well the mechanism was fixed.
