Exclamation Hey guys turn signal problem

Hey guys i'm extremely new to the nissan scene i just bought my 92 240 coupe sunday..and it has some problems im fixing. I'm also new to this site so don't flame me too hard.haha. But the turn signals will work when my headlights are off. But once i turn them on or even click the shifter to the click in the middle right before them actually coming on the flasher relay stops. Stops clicking, stops flashing, everything. and both of the arrows stay lit on the dash. Along with the 4 ways do this too, and with the headlights off and the four ways on the dash will actually flash in and out with the 4 ways and im pretty sure its not supposed to.lol. i tried replacing the flasher relay..nothing. I was told to take out the turn signal switch and clean the contacts? which im working on but i would just like some insight. thanksss. Again sorry about the newness.

I had a similar problem on my Sc. It was my harness getting damage from being lowered. So I had to relocate it to the engine bay. Is your car lowered? Did you check your harness for any damage?

Ahhh i didnt check the harness. I just got my s13 sunday hahaa. I was looking over it again today..found out that the turn signals will click and work with the headlights off, but they all flash. Like my 4ways. Its as if the wiring got mixed up. Allthe lights flash at the same time. Then if i turn the parking lights or headlights on they just immediately stop. No clicks no flashes no nothing. But no im not loweredd yett and the wheel well protectors were in there still so idkkk. The guy said he was just driving one day and they stopped working. I guess i'll have to check the harness i've literally soent hours researching :|

Did you check you fluid levels? you might need to add more...

Most likely you just have a short somewhere in the wiring, start with the dash and work your way back.
It's something affecting all the lights so it dosen't sound like it's in the engine bay, well to me, So I would start there.
could be as simple as 2 wires that just rubbed together, ours cars are over 20 years old now...
