KA KA24E Quality Header?

I'm trying to look for a good quality brand header for my single cam. All I come across is amazon specials.

Do these not exist anymore? If anyone can point me in a direction of a good header please let me know.

There's never been a really high quality one other than DIY jobs. Look for DC sports (I think they did sohc) or OBX racing.

https://www.ebay.com/i/123428854391?...BoCnYQQAvD_BwE

I would cut and weld in a stainless flex section too.

Not too familiar with DC, but OBX is basically an Ebay special and can have varying results in quality. Their welds are decent on the outsides, but on collector points, the welds are rather garbage, and I would recommend cleaning them up, less you'll have a nice spot that'll heat up and start firing shrapnel from your exhaust (gives a new meaning to blast pipes lol.) ALWAYS inspect for pinholes (i.e. take it into a pitch black room, and use a flashlight around every weld and make sure no light seeps through) Also, something to keep in mind: I bought a stainless header set from them for a Toyota V6, and when I test fit it, I literally could not get it on because the pipes were tucked so close that they fucking hit the studs, which left about an inch of clearance between the mating surfaces. So, they obviously don't test their own products, they just look at pictures and hope for the best. But, they are still stainless headers, so if you get some that aren't stupid like the ones for the yota, then you're pretty good to go.

Quality single cam headers never existed, about the peak of "quality" was Hotshot.

If you want quality, go find yourself someone that can fabricate one for you. Buy high quality 4-1 collectors and work with an engine tuner to maximize gains from them.

As an example, below is a picture of a NASPORT tube frame S14 from Sears Point 2002, running a high compression KA24E with a custom long tube 4-1 header that exited out the side of the car.

This engine basically put out around 275HP NA. Low by current standards but that's what you get for a 35 year old engine.

LOLOL @ showing a 14:1 race motor with a lifespan of 24 hours to some kid who just wants a header for his street car.

Would love to see one of the old rebello motors in a street car just for lolz.

the point I was making was about the word "quality"

If OP wants quality s/he needs to understand what that means. For the single cam KA, it means he goes custom.

If OP wants to shop online for something premade, none of them are quality.

I posted the picture because I happened to be rearranging my old files.

I guess I don't really need to run a header. I bought the car off the original owner and I want to keep it mostly OEM, with the exhaust being an exception to that. It does have me thinking about just finding a dual cam to put in due to the much wider market. But I am trying to refrain from that at the moment lol
