60 second posts and search mode
ack just small beef w/ this.
you cant post for 60 seconds after first post. its good i know because no double pots. but cant reply another thread fast either. i type and then get "have to wait 60 seconds" hit back and what i typed is gone. anywyas, can it be cut down to 30 seconds? also with the search mode, same thing, can the time be cut down in 1/2? thanks |

Just quit post whorin
JK. Its never been a problem that ive seen, I will change the post count to 45 if I can (dont remember seeing that option), Search one can stay at 30 since the majority of floods come from search type attacks. |

12hrs is reasonable for an edit time limit, but 180min is way too short IMO. If ppl use edit to con their way out of ****...just ban them
Search is nice at 30sec West, its in the main vB options under 'floodchecking options' 30sec is reasonable, 60sec is a little too long for fast typers with broadband. I should know...was just owned by it Damn the never ending trade off between functionality and security

I agree that the 60 seconds between posts is too long, I go into zilvia and open a new window for each thread that interests me, and sometimes I'll type a response to one, click the next window, and read the next thread quickly and type a response, and it deletes my response. If its going to make me wait, couldn't it at least keep what I type there so I can just wait 60 seconds and post it again?
also, the search thing is a little annoying, especially when I search for something and it says "no matches" and so you go right back and try and search again but have to wait. I can't see having it make you wait when it didn't even find anything. finally, I wish the edit thing was shorter, cause people post stuff, and someone else will post a reply, and then someone will edit their original post, making the replies no longer make sense. |
