So after calling the entire western hemisphere I can’t find any origin or version select in stock anywhere. I have been able to find vis and ait kits in stock though. Both of them vertex s13 sil reps, the question is which one is better quality and will be less of a headache?

I had an AIT vertex rep kit for pop-ups. The front bumper fit quite well, but the sideskirts were way too thick and needed trimming AND a heat gun. The rear bumper was also goofy and fit really "stretched" regardless of trimming/heat. The gaps were good though. I can't speak for VIS.

still don't have much input to this thread but i'm kind of thrown off by how many known brands out there require heat guns and trimming and cutting and stretching.
I only ever purchased one "kit" from forceworkz when they offered the navan kit as a package deal and that entire kit fit beautifully.
front bumper lined up absolutely perfect with no gaps or sag.
side skirts fit so well i went to test fit and they stayed on without zipties or bolts or stretching.
valances slid right in.
i don't know if this is helping anyone but i figured i'd say so hahah

Why? Welcome to body work 101. Even OEM panels are going to need shimming and massaging.

I've had s13hb and s14kouki dmax reps and they fit real nice. I seen s14 zenki and it fits good to. Waiting my my silvia dmax and im sure I won't be disappointed. Finelinetuning has good products ��

Origin GT wing with tall mounts that I modified for quarter panel mounting.

Installed S14 Zenki D-max D1 spec front fenders. Fitment is pretty decent, aligns with the bonnet (D-max vented bonnet) well. Only problem is that the bracket to mount the headlights are off, if mounted headlights are pushed in too far in the bonnet. Will need to make your own bracket to hold the headlights near the fenders.

Also got Origin Labo rear overs and loosely installed, but fitment looks good. Trimming the upper fender where it meets the quarter window trim, rear window trim and trunk area. But overall looks good. Won't install completely till wheel alignment is done.

First timer with aftermarket fenders, but overall happy with them.

+1 for dorki dori aero. I have his version 1 sides and coupe rear valances, they both fit great the only thing that needed to be done is drilling some holes. I would definitely recommend his products.

Joking aside, Dorki's stuff looks great and I'm looking forward to picking some bits up for mine. The parts look pretty hefty, but how resilient/durable are they? I know glass will never hold up the way poly does, but with as thick as the parts appear to be, it seems like I'd be likely to file through them before breaking them. Just looking for insight from people with real world experience I guess.

thick parts arent always a good idea... they tend to shatter much easier because theres no bend to absorb the impact.

properly made FRP parts are just as durable and resistant to breaking as ABS plastic and polyurethane (its not uncommon to find FRP used on Ferraris and Lamborghinis). most of my parts are produced with 2 ounce fiberglass weave, its thin enough to have a good amount of flex, but thick enough to hold up to impacts really well.

also one thing about having thinner parts that really helps, they will adapt to the shape of the car MUCH better over time! seeing as all of my parts are replications of ABS plastic and FRP pieces, the shape of the original part is still held in the piece slightly even after shaping, jigging and molding is completed. once an ABS plastic, polyurethane or FRP part is mounted to a car, even just after 6 months of direct sunlight beating on the piece, the part WILL start to retain the shape of where and how its mounted... now imagine this occuring over the course of 10-20 years

but yeah, thinner parts are actually better for impact than thicker parts seem to be, like i said earlier, simply because of what happens when they are impacted by something. super thick parts will want to just flat out shatter where thinner parts will bend and deflect the impact.

This was the dorki dori sides being test fitted, they fit so good they held themselves in place.



Painted, fronts held on with factory splash shield screws, rear of side skirts I used two 6mm bolts, rear valences I used 3 bolts and double sided tape.

Duraflex BN Type II fits like dog shit, but idk what I expected. Good enough for a drift car I guess. The corners in each bumper that go up under the fender aren't high enough, and if you try to mount the bumpe up high enough to close the gap, the parts over the fenders are in the wrong spot and the top between the head lights sticks up higher than the hood lol. So it has to be mounted with about a one inch gap between the top of the bumper and the fenders. Sideskirts actually weren't too bad after bending the rocker panel down some so there was room under the door.

Just wanted to chime in. I had a terrible experience with extreme dimensions. Fenders came cracked, bumper figment was horrible.
