only problem is that it's FWD, I'm not big on the whole FWD phenomenon. But otherwise I agree it's a very nice car, not to mention it actually has torque unlike those vtec cars.

I like how they look, but I like the idea of a EVO VII in my garage over a sentra Maybe I misread this article, but they said the OZ edition for $16,000? Motor Trend Lancer Article 275 horses? Turbo? 4wd? Yummy.

I'm with LegendZ28, (despite the fact he has a domestic car in his name on a Nissan site!) on the point that it is FWD. I hate them and never would buy them. Do you just want it for the 1320, or would you actually like to go down some curvy roads? I have spun out 2 FWD cars, and only 1 RWD car, and it was a Viper goin 120ish.
Anyway. The weight distribution will suck on it too. I wouldn't buy one!

IfI'm not mistaken Xenon, I believe that if the Evo does come over to the Us it will be Starting at about 23 grand. Whic is pretty much what you wold have paid for the 240 if you bought it brand new, and you get al the extra like turbos, and 4wd. If the GTR doesn't make it here, I will go for th EVO. Eventhough I read in the sept issue of Road & track that nissan has given the world's greatest car the green light for the US market.

Oh yeah I forgot,
Sentra Se-r is a real nice car, and it will be very affordable. Can't wait to see them spanking those gay Civic Sis!

the EVO is gonna be wattered down... ~ 140 horsepower and not all wheel drive .... and the cost will be 14000- 16000 the OZ edition gets 15 inch OZ racing rims thats the only difference... sounds to me like a waste of time on mitsu's part

I don't get the raves over the EVO and WRX. What are those back doors for, anyway? AWD cars are old news. They launch well but are not worth the extra weight added. Wouldn't you rather have the new Z if you were going to buy a new car?

AWD car's are indeed a little overhyped but they are still great, especially the skylines. The WRX is a great car and I give alot of props to Subaru for taking the leap since all the other companies are being pansies about moving jap supercars over here.

When is the new Z supposed to come out anyway and how much is it going to be?

nismos is right, the evo will definately be watered down, more of a mirage than an evolution so it woun't be worth it. I've heard news that Toyota is going to be importing a new supra in 2004, looking forward to that but if the R35 makes it over here first, I'd rather get that.

Oh and about the domestic crack, real car people don't look at it as domestic vs import. My domestic has enough power to smack alot of cars and my import has the potential to do the same if I ever deside to really mod it. Only difference is my Camaro only cost about 4500 total (including the cost of the car) to get it to run low 12's on street tires, I paid 19k just for a stock 94TT Supra and it'd be #### near impossible to get it to run 12's stock.

The 2003 Z will be just under $30,000 but it sounds like a good deal. 260 HP, 6 sec. 0-60, 4 wheel IS, RWD. I think it will get the VQ35DE.

What's a 350Z? Nevermind, that's what they would call it with a VQ35DET. I thought it was going to be called a 240ZX for some reason.

Whats the VQ35DET? They arent making a turbo one. It will just be the VQ35DE. Although there has been roumors of them making a Turbo one down the road. That would be cool but the car still looks a Audi TT. If they could clean up the Bubble but then I would have some respect for the car. I remember when they came out with the first Z Concept 3 some years ago. It was a 240SX in Z badges. Me and about 500 other people from Twinturbo.net wrote letters to Nissan America on what they should do with the Z. I still have the letter on my computer somewhere So its good to know I contributed in new Z somewhat. At least we got them to make it a "Z" and not a 240SX. Both are cool but a Z is not a 240.

i'd consider buying a sentra if i had the use for it. the engine and transmission setup are great but i don't have any use for 4 doors. same thing with the maxima. when i get older and once i get out of my 240sx phase (i'll always be in the NISSAN phase). and i think if we were shown a nice new Z in black, dark green or blue paint job, and normal sized sporty looking wheels, it would get a lot more respect. that orange color and chrysler looking wheels piss me off!

I like the new Z, I think that people need to start getting creative with looks. That last thing I want is to see a bunch of new cars that look like 1990 cars.

That's why I give the PT Cruiser props, they took a big chance with the looks and it paid off for them.
