1991 S13 Won't Start, Flashing dash/Hazards, Clicking Sound - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

Recently picked up a 1991 S13 240sx 5 speed coupe. The car is bone stock. Started the car after work, without any problems, to go home and stopped to get food. Went back outside after eating 10 minutes later and the car wouldn't start. All I got was a consistent clicking noise (even when I wasn't turning the key) and the dash lights and hazard lights flashing. The clicking and lights continued even after I took the key out of the ignition for about 2 minutes. Bought a brand new battery and checked all of the connections and still got the same result. At this point I'm guessing that I need a new starter and/or relay?

I searched for a while before posting this and couldn't find anyone with the same issues. If anyone has any input it would be much appreciated.

mine has done the same thing in the past.. for my situation personally it was a loose power to the alternator.. weird i know. may be worth a shot though. goodluck man

SOLVED. Turned out to be the STUPID alarm system installed in the car that was disabling it to start. Thanks for the input.
