Received my blitz back from threepiece. They're now 17x9.5 +26 and 17x10.5 +26, one of the issues I'm running into is I have Z32 brakes, which cause the fronts not to clear the calipers. Any suggestions on what size spacer to run? I would be running stock front fenders, but I have no issues with rolling/pulling or even running larger fenders.

As for the rears they fit with no issues really, but the lip of the inner barrel is very very very close to rubbing the inner fender well. I'm sure I'll need to run a rear spacer also, but still don't know what size either.

Any suggestion on what size tires I should be able to run with my stock fenders? I have no issues pulling and rolling them! Everyone I talk to keeps suggesting 235/40 for the rears but in not trying to stretch my tires.

Pics for the people!

255F & 285R minimum, can probably get a 305 wide tire on the back.

Spoke design effects brake caliper clearance more than raw offset numbers. Use the smallest spacer you need to create clearance, a 5mm or 10mm should be plenty. Z32 calipers aren't exactly huge.

Thank you for your suggestion! I failed to mention that the set up is going on a 550+whp ls3 s13. I was thinking of doing 255/40/17 for the front and 285/40/17 for the rears. Cannot find any tires that are 295 in 17's that aren't slicks.

Alright guys I got a new set of wheels for my s14 and am in need of some tires. The car will be predominantly a street car with very light track duty. Also, the car will be very low, and yes I have completely revamped the suspension to accomodate. Not looking to run stupid amounts of negative camber either. -4 degrees in the front and -2 in the rear is about the max I want to push it.

Specs:
40mm Front fenders
50mm Rear Overs
18X10 -6 effective with 15mm spacer to clear z32 Brakes
18X11 +14 effective with 5mm spacer to clear brakes

After a lot of research I have narrowed it down to 265/35r18 fronts and 285/35 or 285/30 rears. Need a minimal stretch in order to clear fenders being as low as I am. Want something that will keep my speedo reading correctly as well. Also, planning to run Continental Extreme Contact DW's if anyone has any first hand experience with those. Please let me know if I will run into any issues with these sizes or if someone has some better suggestions, Im all ears.
Thanx, Cameron

No point in running tons of rubber if you're using camber to fit wheels.

The wheels fit with minimal camber. I want to try to run as close to stock suspension settings but willing to go a lil more on camber if needed. Looking for max tire with my setup and as minimal camber as possible.

Anyone here run an 18x10.5j +15 wheel with 265/35 in the front of an S13 besides me? Need some help, effective offset is 0 due to the wheel hitting coilover spring or the lower spring seat.

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask

Koukimonst3r, I have 18x11 with a comparable backspace/offset, 285/30 tires. I had to make new lower mounts for my coilovers with extended ears for clearance. I still need to finish my flares and tubs to start using the setup though.

Fair enough, yeah I'm currently tubbed and everything I could ever pound in the wheel well has been done. Just really want to fit 265/35 on 10.5 + 15 in the front without having to use 15mm spacers. Either that or downsize to 18x9.5 + 12, but that'll require finding a pair of OG Bronze Te's

17x9+35 RPF1 w/ 595RS-RR 255/40 all around.
this first pic I was running a 30mm spacer because I was still waiting for my 20mm to come in the mail. Very Tuerckish

After the front studs were cut and the 20mm spacer was bolted on.
slightly lower than the first picture, -3.5* front camber, -2* rear camber.

Hello guys. I wished i found this thread earlier!
I need some advice here.
I had been running Advan Neova AD08R tires 225/45R16 on 16x7.5J +35 wheels on my S13 200SX and i have recently installed a Kouki type-X bodykit. The car will be ready to go for full painting so i decided this is the time to upgrade because i will probably need to modify the fenders. I can roll and pull but don't want to spend extra money for overfenders (after getting oem fenders - big story).

So i decided to get new wheels, coilovers and 5 stud conversion all at once!
For wheels i got Work Emotion D9R 18x9.5" +12 for all 4 corners.
Coilovers are Feal 441 with 7/5kg swift springs.
5 stud conversion is GKtech conversion hubs in front with NTN replacement oem s13 bearings, rear used s14 hubs with bearings. So no s14 LCA in front (which gives a wider track therefore pushing the wheel about 10mm further out).
I just installed the coilovers yesterday and i will do the 5 stud conversion tomorrow.
However i am left to decide on the tires. I will be using again Yokohama Advan Neova AD08R which is one of the very few tires in this category you can get in Europe due to certification issues (ECE marking). Also the sizes in stock from the local Yokohama distributor will be quite limited or too expensive and i might have to order them from demon-tweeks in UK (I am in Cyprus - anyone knows cheaper EU seller?).

Looking at the Yokohama list of tires sizes i think the ones i show below are the most suitable choices. However i am not sure what to get. I know 235/40 will fit front no issues but i would like to run a 245/40 square setup at least. And i don't mind larger diameter for the rear since it gives me higher top speed (diff ratio is quite high 4.3 from memory or so - speedo adjustment is easy maybe i can make a tutorial how to adjust the pot if you are interested)

I think i've covered everything. What's your advice? And of course we are looking for max grip, circuit racing/drag/road racing etc. I need suspension travel, no point of slamming it either way since i drive it on the street and we have 12cm speed bumps (if not more in some cases - funny oil pan sits even lower than the front lip)

That 265 would be the best fit for that wheel for a square/flush look, but the tire is really high (26.3 inches tall.) the caveat to that: you will need to do some serious rolling/pulling to get those to fit in the front.
The 265/35 I think would be ideal. still taller than the stock tire but not overly tall that would require a lot of speedo correction.

If you are looking to go with the 235/40 size, then you may be in the wrong thread. the 235 tire would be more appropriate for an 8 or 8.5 inch wheel.
You could start by resizing your pictures. (something like 900x900) would make it a bit easier on the eyes.

Has anyone ran 18x10, 18x9 +45 on a S14? I tested fitted the 18x10 +45 in the rear and I may need a spacer to clear the coils. I wanted to run maximum tire size hence the high offset.

Yeah I do, 50mm front kp fenders, 30mm extended oem flca, -4.2 camber 18x10.5j 0 with 265/35. Had to retuck the wiring harness and move it as far away from the tire, used a plate for protection.

Anyone here running 235/40 on 17x9j ?

I currently have 215/45 tyres on AVS Model 6's which are 9j+20 at all four. Looking to maximise grip as I am making 250rwkw (335rwhp). I went from 195/50 15's to these so its a huge step in grip but am still managing to bake 3rd gear when getting on it.

Thinking 235/40 all around as I like square setups. Worst case keep 215/45 front and go 235/40 rear.

Thanks!

^^^235/40/17 isn't really maximum rubber on a 9 inch wheel. This thread has tons of examples of 245/40/17 on 17x9+20 all around. Just look around.
Depending on your ride height, expect to roll & possibly roll your fenders. It'll be worth it though.

The body or the S13SE wheels? S13SE wheels are only 6" 225 is the max I would run on them.

If you want to drag you need to drop down to a 15/16 to get more sidewall to absorb the driveline shock. I would look at wider rims like 9-10"

I suppose they're right in the context of maximum rubber fitment. I just can't see past square tire fitment. I really hate that balloon looking stuff.

Taller tires have better contact patch - wider does much less in terms of forward grip.

That being said, you can buy weld rts wheels in up to 15x15...

Summit racing carries them.
