I mean that's what is in the rear of a 350z so that's the ratio meant for the trans lol. But even in a 350z they definitely improve everywhere with a shorter ratio.

Here you go guys, using a 2008 z33 transmission, and I believe S13 factory gearing(counted the teeth when I put in the vlsd, but I don't remember the exact specs) I was driving about 76mph at 3500rpms.

How do you like the gearing? Do you feel like you have to shift too much?

Adapter plates are no go with Z33 transmissions. I was going to go that route but after doing some measuring I found out even if you mill a whole bunch of the bellhousing you will only engage the splines half way with clutch disk. It will work, but you will end up twisting the splines off if you make any real power.
This was for KA24DE. I went with JWT kit instead to avoid those issues

The JWT kit is a very good option for KA people, especially since auto KA trans Bellhousings should be super easy to find.

Why is it obligatory to use only JWT flywheel with this kit?

The flywheel for the JWT kit looks like it's built with some offset in it to push the clutch towards the trans a bit for full spline engagement.

Gearing is very nice. I don't mind the shifting and for the most part 3-4 is the sweet spot. 2nd is pretty short. overall I like it better than The 5 speed. And with the zspeed heavy duty concentric Slave cylinder, I am really enjoying the setup.

Can a flywheel spacer resolve this problem?

I dunno dude, theres quite a few people using adapter plates already, and I have yet to hear of anyone destroying splines.

has anyone actually had this happen yet? like actual first person experience, not "my brothers cousins uncles barbers dogs baby momma said his neighbors college roommate had it happen"?

Maverick adapter here, and not huge power but i put down 350 to the wheels. after getting the CSC sorted out, It's worked great.

Hi everyone sorry for bring up a old thread but i needed some help on this,

I have a Nissan Silvia S15 (200SX) been with S13 (5speed), S14 (5speed) & S15 (6speed) gearbox.
Recently i have got a chance to get either a Z33 or Z34 due to a mate have both car that going to be scrapped soon. There is a few question i have been researching but getting kind of mixed answer which i like to clear off. Before i start buying the conversion kit

1. Z33 or Z34 a better choice? (some saying Z34 bellhousing is shorter than Z33?)
2. Mazworx SRVQ Bellhousing after cutting the bell housing of stock. the gap inbetween can it be seal up or can i cut actually shorter off so that the gap will be closed?
3. does it need hammering of tunnel. (i read some said that mazworx adapter does not really need hammering)
4. Can i retain S15 Dual mass flywheel & clutch?
5. Is there any NVH if convert to the above mention transmission?
6. would like external slave pump just like stock s15 6 speed
7. what is with the synchro match & speedo thing as i am not quite sure on this section?

i am so sorry that i have to came to check with you as i cant get a definite answer on this part.

You want a z33 cd009 trans the z34 can work but requires more work and I dont like the z34 concentric bearing. The z33 has it's own slave but it isnt expensive.

Yes you can use the dual mass flywheel the z33 comes with dual mass so I had to make a throw out bearing adaptor to make it fit. You would need a collins kit though I have no clue about the mazworkz kit
