Harbor freight tools
I get minimum wage so I’m broke and new to cars so I got a pretty dumb question,
Should I spend my money on harbor freight timing light and compression test kit? Or will I regret it and wish I bought more expensive ones somewhere else, does the harbor freight stuff work alright? |

Harbor freight tools work fine. Keep receipts and when they ask if you want to buy the extended warranty just do it. Sign up for their promotions and use the coupons every time.

My driver side headlight will not come up when I press the headlight button.
I move it up manually and It will go down when I press the button but not up. Passenger one works perfectly fine. Checked voltage to socket and everything is getting power where it should. Checked the three relays and they’re fine. Checked my driver side fender harness and all is good. Abit stumped. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Zilvia, please steer me in the right direction.
I have what I believe to be an S14 LSD installed, but it clunks like a mf between gear shifts. I took it out at some point to try to identify the issue, and what I believe is happening is the actual differential assembly itself has too much play not the ring/pinion clearance; when I grabbed both axle stubs on the disassembled diff and rotated them in opposite directions, there was a lot more play compared to a spare S13 LSD that I have. To fix, I believe everything has to be taken apart up to the spider gears and the clutches inside may need to be replaced, but Im not 100% sure. I am considering having the differential rebuilt by a shop, and was wondering what kind of costs I could expect from a differential overhaul. What would you recommend, buy another used LSD? Pay to fix this one? Pay for aftermarket?

if you do buy a used LSD, call the manufacturer and order a rebuild kit... then have it fully rebuilt and installed properly by a trans shop. |

I've had similar and it was intermittent but when the light stopped comin up I couldn't getting it going again unless I manipulated it manually. Initially I thought the steering column switch was the problem. I removed the ground wires for each motor, cleaned up the oxidation on the lugs and haven't had a problem in a year. You might be lucky, give it a try, it could be a cheap fix.

Lost my old account - but Just recently picked up an S15 sitting on HKS Hipermax coils.
Will 17x9 +22 and 17x9 + 35 (all wrapped in 215 / 45 / 17) clear all suspension and fender issues without problems? I don't care about supreme flushness - a little sinkage is fine with me, I just want to make sure I'm not rubbing on anything! |

I did a compression test on my ka24e, I got exactly 120 across the board and cylinder 3 was just like a tiiiiny bit under like near the next notch down,
I’m a noob sooooo I forgot to press the gas when I did it -Spark plugs weren’t taken out but they were disconnected as well as coil and fuel relay EDIT: I just went back outside and pressed gas down, all spark plugs out, let it crank 5 times, every cylinder reading exact same 120 -I’m using a $30 compression test kit from harbor freight, the brand is Pittsburgh. Car probably has a vacuum leak somewhere as it only runs good when I cover the intake with my hand otherwise it’s rough idle, also I’m not sure if the car was totally warm as it was running for maybe 2-3 minutes before I tested Should I be worried about engine swap right now? Or is it cool for me to buy more parts to get it running better Last edited by Presto; 09-15-2019 at 06:18 PM.. |

i have a hks actuator on my t28bb turbo, currently at 10 psi. I have turned it up heaps but still hasnt increased boost? could this be because of a worn out spring or something?
also ever since around a month ago after every time it rains or i wash the car it becomes so slow, its weird because it only does it as of a month ago. i dont have a vented hood or anything so i have no clue where the waters going to cause the car to be slow |

Hello Zilvia OG’s. I’ve been searching and seeing a lot of guys running on 240’s Evo Brembos, and CTSV Brembos, what about Dodge Srt8 Brembos? I saw one thread where a guy had brackets for a z32 but that was From 2011. Can’t find any conversion kits online for them. Someone local is selling a set of front and rear for $300 with rotors and lines.

Which mark on an sr20 is top dead center?
Most places I've seen say second from the left. However, in this video he's doing second from the right. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...N8ZFOD4xbU2nov Is he just doing it wrong? The engine sounds fine. Thanks |

Have any of y’all imported an engine off the Yahoo Auctions? I found something I want but I dont know who can do it. I know Jesse doesn’t handle stuff like that typically.

Hey guys my oil feed stripped bad. So we blocked it off on the block and I’m going to run the oil feed from my k-tuned oil pressure npt adapter. My question is does anyone know what size thread the oil feed line on a t25 turbo would be in AN fittings? Also what size line? My research has lead me to -3an but I’m not sure never used AN line
