#62 ecu on blacktop s13 sr

Hey guy I got a blacktop s13 sr20det and I need an ecu can I use a #62 ecu or do I have to use the e5 ecu thank u

Sigh, #62 ECU will work if you switch out the oxygen sensor to a skinny one. Blacktop uses a fat type oxygen sensor. Look up Zirconia vs Titania differences.

The E5's are a pain in the ass to find. I was looking for them a few months ago and actually was researching the same thing you are lol.

You dont really need to change the o2 sensor...shit will drive fine. I never noticed the difference on mine. I was running mixed matched redtop/black top setup ECU and never had an issue.

Yeah I'm not trying to say killer2001 is wrong by any means..but Im running a 62 ecu on my s13 blacktop with fat o2 sensor and it runs perfectly fine

Thanx everybody one ? I know is out of the subject but anybody knows wut a drop resistor is on s13 and if that have anything to do with them inejectors cuz I know it has an orange wire that conect to the dash conector and I read that if it doesn't have 12+ volts it womt fire my injectors and im getting 9voltd only

Makes 0 difference buddy. I have both ECU's and unplugging the 02 sensor puts the car in limp mode with either.

I hate to bring up a old thread, but I'll noob it here. I know this has been going on for years, I just need one question answered. I have a blacktop sr with a fat O2 sensor, and a 62 ECU. I'm waiting on finding an E5 ecu to buy, I have a couple drift events coming up and I wanted to know if its safe to run with my current set up. I haven't re pinned anything, and all I've read has confused me.
