Thanks bro, this is exactly what I was wondering.

I gave it a shot, and the car is super laggy untill 4000 rpm. However, at least I can drive it until I get a new one.[/QUOTE]How high is the boost though? You might be over thinking this. Honestly first post I've seen trying to do lower.

can anyone tell me what this lil guy is.

part is on a s14. It's a thin plastic piece that was under the cowl. I looked at the parts diagram. And saw a rubber cowl top part that looks round and is also discontinued. If it is that part whats it do and how can i replace it.

Baby yoda sun visor for attention.

Hey man, I?m in the same situation with my Silvia bricks. I?ve looked into getting the lamps ?rechromed? but the places I call say they don?t do it to such small parts. Only bumpers etc.
To be honest I don?t know for sure if the lamp inside the head light is metal or plastic. I believe metal. Too scared to open them for now.
What did you end up doing?
I?m thinking of just wrapping them.
It?d be ghetto but might look good

Hey, I see this is the place to post small questions... my bad.
I?ve searched and only found stuff for headlights and the side lights.
Do you know how to repair a Silvia grill with one of the top tabs broken off? Is there a kit I just can?t find or do I just completely fabricate a new plastic frame via plastic welding?

When replacing the rear main seal can I just use the FelPro gasket, RTV+gasket, or only RTV?

The FSM has no mention of the outer gasket like the FelPro has, just RTV.

Not a fan of using RTV because I get worried I didnt get the lines right.

Fuk that gasket, 1/8 bead of silcone where needed will work perfect. Make sure both mating sides are clean and grease/oil free.

What's the best way to find some friends with S chassis? None of my friends are into cars and there doesn't seem to be any community where I'm located. There are no facebook groups really and the car scene here is pretty bland from what I can tell.

Yes. Join the two and it also makes for a good anti-theft device. Car wont start without that removable plug.

go to events and put yourself out there and talk to people. more effective than just talking to randoms on the internet.

inspect throttle body and make sure the screws from the plate to the shaft aren't coming loose, check for vacuum leaks.

Should the bullseye located on a SR CAS disc be pointing away towards the CAS cover or towards the CAS sensor/gear?

I haven't pulled one apart to know what bullseye you're talking about, but here's how it should be oriented. Looking down on it after removing the cover.

Thank you, the bulls eye I am referring to is shown in the pics below on the top right of the disc. I have the CAS shaft turned to the TDC position marker and looks like the bullseye should be pointing towards the shaft/gear since it lands right underneath the sensor, correct?

Bullseye facing out. Meaning you should see it when installed. You can see the orientation for a brief moment in this clear CAS cover install video. It spins counterclockwise, the large one is TDC of cylinder 1, steps down in size as it gets to the smaller #4 marker.

is there a difference between s13 manual transmission harnesses?

I bought this wiring specialties lower harness a while back that I finally am getting put on at a shop and the guy working on it contacted me telling me that there are 3 connectors that are different on the WS harness compared to my OEM one:

1. Speed Sensor
2. Reverse switch
3. Fuse box

my car is a 89-90 that is now running a DE (not that it should matter) and is a factory manual chassis.

I bought the harness because my reverse lights randomly went dead one day and even after replacing the reverse switch still dont work. Theres still no voltage going to the light sockets. That and my speedo started acting up as well.
