Thanks, it was the only right solution at that time. I checked into hydrochroming, but was given some feedback that the chrome might deteriorate and will become yellowish, meaning it's a time wasted. As the housing does not work as a reflector besides the parking lights, I painted them silver with some flake. The parking light works well with the silver housing. However as said I will take the lights apart soon anyway, I need new projectors and also the right side headlight did not fix to the ball joint properly when I put them back together meaning I can't regulate it as it should.
The car is 150km (~100 miles) from where I live in the garage right now so not much progress to do, besides gathering parts and preparing for the next season. Will get some work done next weekend though.
