hey my name is alex and i just recently joined the zilvia community to reach out in hopes of solving my problem. i recently purchased a 97 kouki and it’s giving me issues when giving it gas it throws off my timing and on decel it drops to a really low rpm and tries to idle but eventually dies out and stalls. using an obd reader/scanner, the problem is not throwing a code to point me in any direction. i reached out to the previous owner and he claimed it to be the distributor. i replaced that and it did not help. i’ve been on this site on the forums for the past week looking for anyone with similar issues that could give me a lead to solving my problem. many have said engine coolant temp sensor. i bought a new one and installed it. started the car got it up in the rpm’s and it throws off my timing and on decel it drops to really low rpm and almost sounds cammed then shuts off. cleaned the IACV and throttle body and still did not help. can someone please try to help me out with this i feel like it’s much simpler than i’m making it. thanks so much in advance!
