Well she got convicted of lying to the cops.
Honestly it may have been more difficult to prove that she murdered her child.
think the body was decomposed to the point where it was hard to find solid evidence.
IMO, I'm pretty certain she was involved, if not the the perp.
No reasonable person is going hide their child's body, in the trash, after the child 'drowns'.
Even if she wasn't guilty, what she did was low.
