Man, did I end up underestimating this. Wife and I woke up one morning about a month ago and said lets build a new house. Called up my friend to list it, another to toss on a fresh coat of paint inside and it went live a week later. $375K cash, 20 over asking, under contract in 11hrs with a 2 week close.
Shit is absolutely ridiculous right now. I don't know how much more this market is going to peak because we're hitting an affordability cap on new homes for like 75% of the people living here so we cashed in now. I think at the date of listing, there were 278? homes for sale in a county with almost 800k people living in it.
