I see it as all the people wanting to prosecute her want the maximum. "Lets give her the death penalty!" They were pushing for all kinds of murder and the death penalty. Nothing was concrete yet they kept pushing for everything and I'm sure if they stopped and took a breath and realized that they could've just gotten her with other shit that FOR SURE she could be found guilty of, then that's better than what shes gonna get now which is just four counts of lying.
