One major thing to note, that is entirely intentional, is the placement of the screen in the Mazda. See how high and out of the way it is? While it IS a touch screen it's meant to be almost entirely controlled by the center knob, which is way more concise than trying to touch a screen. They did extensive testing and found it to be far superior. Plus it puts the info closer to your eye level instead of having to look down and away.
