Not that I'm trying to start an EV vs ICE debate, I'm genuinely curious about your opinions.
I guess they think it wasn't expensive enough for people to live in California.
so. . . . 40% of NEW "big rigs" have to be electric by 2024, and ALL new big rigs electric by 2045.

no mention anywhere of personal vehicles having to be electric, or any methods to motivate existing owners of gasoline vehicles into retiring their dino-powered cars.

not sure how this is a terrible thing?

the biggest downside I can see is more related to power generation and transport than actual vehicles themselves. PGE just recently losing their court case regarding the norcal fires that wiped out entire towns, their staggering inability/unwillingness to maintain their infrastructure, general high costs of electricity due to dumb shit regarding the closure of San Onofre, potential shutdown of Diablo Canyon, etc.

I'm more concerned about the power grid as transportation moves toward electric, and its inability to keep up.
