I prefer atf
1. its red so you can find the leak
2. atf detergents I hear will clean the pump/lines keep em clear
3. something about seals becoming swollen
4. its cheaper, maybe

even in the ls swap I am using atf in the ps system
one time I had to put it into the clutch master to get home

won't hurt anything. worst it can do IMO is deteriorate or swell some kinda rubber and cause a leak or deform a hose. But at the same time, if the rubber was that close to falling apart, then you just dumbed down the immune system in order to find the virus, so you can cure it.
