^does it matter if you ruin the rotors? Didn't you say you were doing a brake job??? I mean thats usually pads and rotors.

There is no reason with a couple of spirited blows from the hammer the rotor won't slide off and then just get a decent size hammer and give the stud a few good blows and it will come out....
