Just a small update.
The 1.5J is now running beautifully. Even drove it up the street today.

Anyways, the previous -10 oil drain I used on the 1J was too long. Oil was backing up and blowing out the gasket and through the seals in the turbo. I drastically shortened the oil drain which quickly alleviated that issue.

I then ran the car for a solid 45 minutes, bled the cooling system. The next day, I compression tested the engine.

Bam. Perfect compression across the board. What a huge sigh of relief. Drove the car around, idled at 13.5:1 A/F Ratio. Over spring break in a few weeks, I'll get the engine re-tuned for the extra displacement of the 2J bottom end.


Turbo off to change the drain line. Probably the 5th or 6th time I've had it off in the past two days...

About to compression test the engine. Hanging out with the 86 190E 2.3 16V.

Oh yeah, then I sold all my drift spares and got all matching wheels !

Put in my matching Recaro too!

So long for now.
Trying to track down a HKS DLI. I'll wire that up, take it to get dyno tuned. With the HKS DLI, 2J Bottom End, and the same boost level as the 1J (18.5 PSI) I expect about 550 wheel, and about 470 torque...

I'll be sure to actually take a video of the dyno this time xD
