I have a set of new in box eagle rods for a ka24de. All are still in plastic wrapping and original box. One has surface rust and one has a couple small spots. ALL superficial and NONE on the bearing/pin bores have any. I've been told by various local engine builders that there is no issue with it just superficial and should clean up easily with simple wiping. Going another route on my car that's why I'm selling.
