right. that involves removing the pressed in ball, cleaning the passages (I prefer ultrasonic cleaning as well) and then cutting threads for a plug, or even pressing in a new ball.

not cheap, and at the end of the day, if a machine shop is going to charge you $3-400 for the labor and cleaning, maybe a brand new crank isn't such a bad idea?
