It wouldn't be too hard to build a 240 that put a hurt on GT350s for $40k. They're at about 7.07lbs/hp, so a 2550lb 240SX would need to make 360 crank horsepower to have the same straight-line speed potential.
The difference is that the Mustang is a $40k turn-key and the 240 would be hundreds of hours of wrench work. I think the 240 would be more fun.
