Rhd ‘66 vw bug on air ride
I’m selling my rhd converted 66 bug. I purchased the bug with rhd conversion already done. I only added the air ride suspension, wheels and minor interior mods. It’s running a 1600dp with dual solex carbs and electronic fuel pump. Empi 5 wide disc brakes all around. Interior is done in suede cream look. Seats,panels and headliner all done in suede. Not my style, but I worked with it. I drive the bug on weekends and and to work on occasion. It’s running a fwy flyer trans and shifts smooth. Suspension mods are simple Monroe air shocks all around, extended and notched rear arms. 2” drop spindles up front. And 4” narrowed beam.
Few cons are the horn is in-op, the steering box may need replacing soon as it wanders on the fwy at 70+ but cruises just fine. The shock towers had to be cut for the shocks to fit. The front air shocks make contact with the arms, but was planning on doing a bag set up on the beam so it didn’t bother me.
