I see. I'd say that if there's a stricter test for '96 cars, then they're going to test it as such and maybe you have some cause for concern.

Otherwise I'd say it runs as good as a 1995 car with all the shit you have. There's not much difference between OBDI AND OBDII cars though. What's especially important for getting it to run clean is having a good functioning cat, and that you have the timing and idle set properly.

Take your time with the swap, ensure all the wiring and everything is plugged in along the way and that everything makes sense. If it doesn't, consult the FSM and you'll likely find your answer. The FSM has some great procedures for setting up the factory tune.
