Marcin has sent me some pics of the block progress, it's now ready for collection so i'm heading down in a few days to collect it
my and my mate cam's blocks
block machined to have gte oil squirters and the gte oil feed on the side for the turbo
my new toyota squirters and bolts in
my crank back in with the oem bolts and caps with new ACL bearings
forged 8:5:1 ratio cp pistons onto the stock strongest 2jz rods from the non vvt n/a block
(compression should be around 9 with the 1j head)
reason for not going forged rods is that marcin's advice was stock rods are good for 800hp+ which i won't be near
pistons in
my precision turbo has arrived at marcin's, however the turbo housing on the back was the wrong size so it's being exchanged
went for the gen2 dual ball bearing 5858 model with a .6 t3 housing on the rear, 4" inlet and 2.5" air output
my 6boost manifold has turned up thanks to wayne at autoextreme, i bought this on the group buy at the start of the year
t3 twin scroll, dual 40mm wastegate outputs and the 32nb pipe diameter
the collector is well done
along with that came two new turbosmart 40mm external wastegates
so right now i'm waiting on my head from bret sims motorsport, my sard injectos from nengun (which are on back order)
and marcin is supplying the ecu+sensors+universal loom to be made up from emu ecumasters
