^ I've actually been using an Aeromotive 40 Micron for the past year and a half with zero problems. ALso push fit/push-lock hose with a few small sections of good old regular autozone rubber hose with no problems so far. I honestly believe that in dryer climates such as yours and mine, you won't be needing the crazy filtration that some on the east coast or up north may need.. but either way I'm still swapping to a 10 Micron Filter for this season. I've also stored E85 for up to 4-6 weeks without any problems over this season. All in 5 Gallon fuel jugs.
