picked up a gpopshop rebuild kit for the stock turbo. i contacted a local tampa shop (the boost lab) about pricing for rebuilding my turbo using the gpopshop kit and balancing. instead of giving me pricing they said they dont use gpopshop kits and didnt offer any pricing for alternatives. I dont know who turns away business in this economy but ok, guess Ill rebuild it myself. great tutorial here -> (

broke up with girlfriend and started looking for new place
friend ended up moving into my 2nd room (office) so I got to stay at current apartment with 1 car attached garage for a while longer
picked up a few more parts (please dont flame)
finally got flywheel and crank pulley off
did first cleaning of block. pro tip -> brake clean worked so much better than engine degreaser (auto zone brand for both)
my friend picked up the block and we got it on an engine stand that i picked up
