iLL Garage: R34 GTT to R34 GTR conversion

To start, we must give a little background on this car. This R34 started its life as a GTT rear wheel drive platform and was then recruited to become a stunt double for the hero car for the Fast and Furious 4 movie. This car was one of the lucky few that didn’t crashed and was able to be saved by the current owner. We received a phone call from the customer wanting and RB26 full AWD swap into a R34 GTS RWD. We thought to ourselves, no big deal, same chassis right?? WRONG! After scoping the project details, we found out the chassis are completely different. The best way to explain this is trying to make a 240sx AWD, not a bolt on affair. Several modifications needed to be made for this swap to work, customized trans tunnel, custom trans mount, custom driveshaft, full front and rear subframe modifications, and the list continues.

The star of the movie… not guy, the car!

Before it went under the knife.

The transplant, NISMO R RB26DETT packed full of every NISMO factory option.

Getting motor ready for final drop in. Its been in out a bunch of times.

Engine and trans in!

GTR Crossmember installed (GTT different), new mount points had to be made.

Tunnel had to be modified to fit the transfer case.

Their are more plans for the car, but so far its stupid fast.

Thanks for looking
