From everything I have talked to steve about lag in the GT3X series of turbos, it all seems to be ignition related.
Steve is one of the best Ignition tuners I know, and response, drivability and tq results are always reflective of that.
Anyways, everything he has ever said is he can tune out ALL lag in those turbo and make them ultra responsive. I think people who complain that their GT3X series, ESPECIALLY ON AN RB, is laggy, probably has a S*** tune. That is the only thing I can think of, especially after seeing steve turn out car after car with a GT3X series and gobs of response.
So yeah, if you bolt up a GT3X series with an AFC, its going to suck.. lol
