To make you feel better, in my car the body harness between SMJ going to the back was just one melted mess of wires. The cluster harness was cut and spliced and wires changed colors 4 times before ending up running to nowhere.
I just snipped the plugs, opened the FSM and went to work. Glad to see I'm not the only one dealing with this shit. At least the S14 FSM has great brakedown of each electrical system, so its easier to trace.
