Rob... I always use an angle grinder to cut the bumper as shown in the photo below. I measure just wider than the width of the intercooler and go down just over half way in the back. I then use a sledge hammer to "forcefully" fold the metal forward, with some effort, and then tack weld it back to provide support. Some people remove the support altogether, but I prefer to leave it in place. Hope this helps. Thanks, Mike B.
