Hey everybody!

It may have already been discussed somewhere on this forum, but what do you guys think would be a good HID kit to get for my 1989 240sx coupe Sil-eight front? what I understand the smaller the difference between the two, the brighter it is, right?

For example...

A 5000k kit with 3200 lumens is considerably brighter than a...

6000k kit with 3000 lumens.

Is that right or is the 5000k kit just brighter because it has 200 more lumens?

Basically I don't care what color they are, I just want the brighest ones possible.

Lastly, has anyone had any problems with anything melting because of these?

dont go with any of those crappy aftermarket HID kits, if your serious about going HID then go with OEM HID. get some BMW or S2k headlights and tear them apart for hte pieces, or just piece it together yourself. I know on ebay i see A6, BMW, S2k OEM HID go for 300

You need to search around a bit more. There are a bazillion threads about HID's...

And even an extremely detailed guide by one of our Mods not a few days ago... Here it is

For god sakes, search next time.

McCullochs if you can find them on the market any longer. .. .

I got mine from a good group of friends down at the wheel supply Diamond bar !

Big Ups Albert, great service & product knowledge other than my own.Yes
McCullochs are the way to go,

Unless, you're willing to wait, i will be joining a aftermarket products retails company soon, & can get you what you need for a good price, although I'll have to conduct some prelimenary research on the HID systems they carry. .. .

Just Let us know, good luck
