Just wanted to make sure everyone knows about the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood coming up February 24-25th. This year, the rally will be on the National schedule for Rally-America as well as the Regional Rally Championships. That means more ProRally cars will show up and some factory-backed teams.

This is a unique chance to see national level rally competition so close to home. The rally takes place just southwest of St. Louis in the Mark Twain National Forest. The rally is headquartered in Salem, MO.

for more info, check out http://100aw.org/index.html as it gets closer to the rally.

I have personally attended the last couple years, and it has been a blast. There is nothing quite like hearing an anti-lag system piercing the silence of the woods, or watching cars fly airborne right in front of you. 8) I have found that while spectating can give you a good view of the rally, the way to really see the action is by volunteering to be a course marshal. You get a private view of the action right on the course, and get to transit the actual rally stage before and after the cars go through (it gives a new respect for the speeds the competitors carry through the sections)

Definately check out the trailer to last year's DVD for an overview of what the rally is all about: http://www.321govideo.com/100aw_2005.php
