Ok I researched around but couldn't find my answer,
My sr20det alternator went out, so i bought another one and hooked it on.

When I bolted everything back up, I notice nothing turned on, so then i knew my alternator fuse blew, luckily I had a spare, but when i put that one in, it blew as well,
so today I went to the junkyard and stole 3 alternator fuse, then put another alternator fuse back in and it blew, so i'm down to my last two(and theres no more 75a fuse at the junkyard) I retightened all the bolts and made sure everything was connected, then I slightly put another one in, and notice it was smoking inside the fuse, so i pulled it out thinking it might blow as well.
Does anyone have any ideas what could be the problem?

I'm thinking it could be a bad grounding spot on the alternator.

A winnar is yuo.

Check that the ground is on properly, and that the power lead is NOT touching the metal alternator housing.

Either/or will cause the fuse to pop.

Good luck

the person who sent me the alternator didn't leave the red plastic piece that separates the bolt from touching the alternator, so i replace the piece with my old one and the rest is ay o K.
