is it ok to run a 4 gauge ground wire to the amp that used the 8 gauge power wire? it's kinda odd to put it in here. but hope someone can help. thanks

yes, it's even better than using same size ground and power wires..

Yeah, bigger wires can't hurt anything as long as it fits into the terminal on the amp. If it doesn't you could probably cut off a few strands and still be fine since its larger than it needs to be anyways.

If the 4-gauge won't fit into the terminal on the amp, and you are using more than one amp, get a distribution block that has a 4-gauge input and 2 or 3 8-gauge outputs.

Its ok to use an 8 guage power wire and a 4 gauge ground but it isnt good to have a 4 guage power wire and an 8 guage ground. The ground has to be at least equal or greater size than the power wire. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'> &nbsp;ic. as s15dude said, i did use a distrubution block for the power cable just like the one you discribe. but the only thing is the one i got the salesman said it don't need a fuse for it. so i bought it without any doubt of wat he told me. and i tried to run everything today, the block doesn't seem work at all. is it every dist. block have to had fuse for it? or i just get scewed? anyways, thanks for the info guys. and i'll see what i can do tomorrow &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

anyone know where i can find the carpet that similiar to the one that we have on the 240's trunk? i'm looking for some to put on my amp rack. where i can get some for cheap <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
