hello, i'm new on this board, i have a 1992 240sx coupe, and i'm starting an audio setup, i'm planing to put a 12" in the trunk, (JL Audio 12W3) wich need a sealed enclosure on 1,25piĀ², and i'm having major problems designing the encolsure. i have a rear strut tower bar, so i can't put the sub right behind the rear seat, and the metals bars wich holds the trunk up only allows me a 11" high box, and i can't incline the enclosure face wich holds the sub enought to make only 11" high, without making the rear of the sub touching the bottom of the enclosure. and i want to keep the sound for me, not the others cars around, so i need the sub facing the rear seats...

so please, anyone who has tips or pics, please help me

Billy

Hey whats up you could try looking at sounddmain.com and try doing a search in the member pages section. Ive looked there a few times for install ideas.

there's 3 coupes on sounddomain, and none of them has a description or a pic of the enclosure, one has no soundsystem at all (but a sweet sr20), another one has no sub yet, and the last has 8"subs...
but thx for the reply <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

i have 2 12"s and i'm forced to lay the box down on their back, and let the speakers point up... right behind the rear seat below the strut bar

240meowth, do you have any pics of your subs/enclosure ?

If you can save room just get a box that has the minimum amout of aire space needed and juss stuff your box with polyfill so that your subs think that they are in a bigger encloser. All of the prefab boxes that jl makes has polyfill already stuffed in them.
