IF you have the engine and the ecu for the new engine that is all you need i belive cus you are only putting a newer engine in.you are going from a sohc to a dohc.I belive the wireing harness is the same cus they are the sme engine unless the engine is a auto but not likely. While you are taking thing apart why not put a newer clutch in you tranny so you can enjoy for a longer time.Unles you got real low miles.

I've also heard that you're gonna need the power steering lines from a ka24de, the pump was moved over to the other side. as for wiring i don't think there should be that much of a difference, and the block should still be the same as well.

The wiring is different. you need to modify the dash harness just like you would to drop an SR20DET in an SOHC, and you need the KA24DE wiring harness (but you can leave it unmodified). I think you also need the later fuse box and stuff.

The KA24E tach also won't work with the KA24DE.

Basically the swap is about as complicated as an SR swap into an SOHC. It's just a hell of a lot cheaper.

That is true about the power steering pump and lines but as far as the tach goes i belive you will be fine.Buti am not completly sure on the tach.

It isn't worth the trouble for 15hp unless you can get the swap parts and engine for really cheap.

It's worth it if your KA24E is blown. But you're right, it's not a performance mod.

See how old this **** is...

Im about to buy a KA24DE with 5 speed, but correct me if I am wrong, I will need the P/S pump, ECU, harness and tach?

****...this is more complicated that I thought...

YOu got that rite Bud. You asked power steering pump????
DON'T FORGET THE POWER STEERING LINES off of the DOHC s13's.
I also heard elsewhere that the tachometer swap is also needed due to the DOHC and SOHC signals being different.
ANd when you install the harness and need help with advice, then come back to the Forums because it's been discussed here before.

Good luck Mon
