So my 92 S13 overheated today. Pulled over and parked at a gas station, poped the hood, found out there's 2 small lines of crack in the radiator.
Waited an hour or so, added coolent/water, drove it home. I know i need a new radiator but when i was driving home, there was crackling noises everytime i would add a little gas. I took it easy going home but just curious whats the noise all about. What else do i need to replace besides the radiator if it overheated. The thermostat too?

If you're replacing your radiator, you might as well do the t-stat too. They're cheap anyway. May I suggest also flushing your system.
