Try some HID Super White bulbs. The type you need are H4 for the 95+, I don't know what type you need for the older 240's. I just bought a pair and when I put them in I will put up a post and possibly some pics. Here is an auction on ebay you might want to check out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymot....r=0&t=0 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=598557858&r=0&t=0)

Mike at ClearCorners.com (old_s13) can hook you up with lights that are legal, safe, and an improvement over the stock brightness if you contact him. www.clearcorners.com he truly is a lighting expert and he can tackle any questions you have. Hopefully, if we are lucky, he will see this post and can dispel some rumors about "blue ion hyper white" headlights and clear up the confusion on HID.:)

just get a H4 conversion.. buy a diamod H4 conversion for around $40-50.00 at any speedshop.. and buy a pair of H4 blue bulbs.. or you can go nuts and get some philips H.I.D for $400.00 that shit is BRIGHT

Those blue bulbs are gay and kill your lighting. Just stick with higer wattage H4 bulbs and do the H4 conversion. I do however like the Piaa bulbs, even though they arent as bright as normal bulbs since they are coated for color output.

West, are you talking about the H4 super whites? There was a thread around here somewhere that recomended them. I was just asking because you said they kill your lighting.

Are there any blue lights that dont' affect lighting in a bad way? I hate the look of yellow headlights. They make the car seem old and nasty somehow... but anyway, my lights right now are really bright I get people high-beaming me all the time when I don't have my high's on... anyone else have that prob?

i would just go with the piaa xtreme white....closest to the HID, but not that blue color...ever seen the new bmw lights on the suvs...prob the same on the sedans but ive only seen the suv...they switch from blue to green to purple, pretty crazy, just the angle you look at them

I agree West. I put some on my Ztt, and the next day I crashed it, cause I couldn't see a wet spot in the road 10 feet in front of me!

Don't be low budget. Buy some real HIDs.

I have the Hellas H4 with a 90/100 watt bulb that clearcorners (D.J. Magic Mike) hooked me up, its really vright, and other cars high beam at times also, they think I got the highs on, so then I really turn on the highs....for a sec to show them I don't have'em on.

Well I should be getting my H4's in the mail tomarrow. I will post some video of the install and before and after. I plan on brightening up the yellow (yuck) housings too.

white240sx> thanks for the recommendation bro, its nice to hear that people appreciate my work.

kid zelda> Omar, your lights are nice.. the HELLA H4 ECE headlights with 90/100 bulbs are really good for most street-cars. HOWEVER, just incase you're wondering why your getting flashed its because your headlights need to be aligned, asshead. Remember I was being blinded that time we went for a canyon drive? ALIGN YOUR HEADLIGHTS!

Jay> It appears I am too late in responding to this topic, but not a problem either.. because it usually takes me a while to stock those Hella headlamps. I think I may have 1 pair in stock, not sure. Either way, if you purchased HELLA's headlight - then you made a good purchase. Anything else is probably shit, especially those diamond crap lamps - those are candy coated poo.

If you look at my site, you may see a bunch of odd-ball and maybe even interesting products. The downside is that not everyone can afford the technology that I offer on my site. Its hard to imagine I sell a headlight kit that costs as much as an S13.

Super White bulbs (of ANY brand), suck ass. They may look "SUPAR DOEP", but like West says, they kill your lighting. The beam may be wider and "cleaner" looking, but the distance is shorter and white/blue doesn't work well in harsh weather. I have white bulbs on my car and OH GOD, they suck. Ah well, it won't be my car anymore in a few months.

Mike, What kind of bulds where those 90/100's? brand, #### Part # Sounds exactly like what I want.

Hella H4 eurospec with Philips Vision plus bulbs. I have that setup and it's really good. the vision plus are stock wattage but WAY brighter and whiter than stock. I used to have 80W PIAA superwhites and these are noticably brighter.
stay away from hyperwhite and blue bulbs. Also upgrading your wiring harness will help.

btw, Overwattage bulbs wear out faster. especially 100w. they will only perform at max output for like a month. This is the info I got from philips and Hella btw.

i recently installed PIAA X-treme whites.. and they kick ass.. they are easier on your eyes.. they light up shit better.. and i never get highbeamed.. but i was really careful about alligining them right.. i love them, i'm going to get some highbeams becuase i hate to use my highs now due to the nasty yellow color in comparison

AJ, where did you get the info on how to align the lights? I've been trying to figure that out for a while. (where they should be aimed, not how)

ooh misread ur post...
umm,, well.. i just kinda eye balled it.. it happened to be kinda foggy,, so i coudl really tell exactly how high they were aimed..

i'd recommend getting on a flat road with no traffic.. (subdevision etc) and parking ur car.. then getting out,, popping the hood, and messing around.. make sure that ur left one is slightly lower than the right.. and try to shoot them out a decent distance.. (u know how far is to high,, u don't want to blind people.) I just tried to shoot mine out a little less then the lights that were in the BMW's and mercedes i've drivin.. (they always blind me, so i thought i'd be kind and go a little less).. if you have any more questions let me know.. be specific, i'm horrible at explaining things that are broad ..
