im just gonna link it straight up thanks to pittspeed.com, and honda tech.. and hybridynamix etc etc. make sure they get credited...
this is Patrick Lynn car
we decided to shoot for the stock bottom end horsepower record for the nissan sr20det and we think we have it, we decided to stop at 570hp, 416tq. as far as we can see the record was 549hp.
here's the lowdown on the setup...
stock bottom end
cometic headgasket
arp headstuds
hks valve springs
ferrea retainers
hks 264 intake/ 272 exhaust step 2 cams
RAS
greddy intake manifold
ebay intercooler
full-race manifold
GT35R turbo, .82 A/R exhaust housing
tial 44mm wastegate
3" turbo back
precision 1000cc injectors
AEM EMS system
dual walbro intank pumps
and some other stuff i'm probably forgetting...
here's the dyno chart. i know it's running a little lean up above 7000, but we're gonna fix that out on the street and make sure everything is dialed in nicely under real world conditions..

wow, that is awesome, that is a very nice power band for a 2.0l motor. that makes me want to get an aem even sooner, and i havent even finished my motor swap yet! anyways, awesome results, id love to see what it can do at the track.
and oh yeah, that af over 7k is pretty scary, especially above 7800! but im sure thats an easy fix with that ems.

I'll probably get flamed for saying it, but I think the actual record is held by Glen, in Tampa, by his 620whp stock bottom SR in an S14 chassis. I could be wrong, but I never am.

Why would you put all that money into the head turbo fuel etc and then bolt it all upto a used stock bottom end. not to be a pesimst but it won't hold forever.

I think you are right, too. I knew the record was over 600hp....

We're not talking about a world record anyway, just US record.

Sorry guys Not the record but good numbers... Tampa holds records Glenn broke 618 HP and Scott had 549 both here in Tampa in the heat. Glenn had made the power alot quicker than this setup too. We also have an SR20DET that is in the outlaw class running 7.8 in the 1/4 mile in the FL heat. Good luck beating that PA!

If 618 is the US record... then what is the World's stock bottom end record?

It *IS*, Max. That's what I'm saying.
The record they're trying to break is the US one, not the world one.

wrong. his RB might make more power quicker, but his 602 SR dyno pull made power for about 1000rpm if not less. it looked like a supra dyno. :hsdance:
it was still a 602 number, but numbers dont mean much.

500hp for 3000rpm > 600hp for 1000rpm in every aspect to a real enthusiast. And, it's faster in 0-60 and 1/4 mile.
And Scott's 539rwhp motor lasted a while.. over 6 months I think. It didn't go down in a big explosion like everyone thought. It just kinda lost compression while cruising down the road.
