Ok, here's the question.... I have a Autometer water temp gauge. Here's option 1.

Go to a hardware store, get a 1/8 PT or NPT tap and proper drill bit, and drill/tap a hole in the water outlet that goes to the upper radiator hose.

Option 2... Will this work?????

Tap the overflow hose with a 3/8 T-Fitting, 2 - 3/8 barb fittings for the hose, and a 1/8 fitting for the sender. I just did this with my trans. gauge.

My actual questions is, if I put the sender in the overflow line.... how accurate will it be... remember, it does recirculate.

This is actually for a 91 turbo laser.

i wouldnt put it there. just get an adapter for ur radiator hose, tap it and use that. right as the water leaves the engine is most accurate reading

i tapped out the bleeder screw for the system.

i would avoid the overflow hose, that thing doesnt get hot at all...

yea man, I guess you are right. It doesn't get hot. I guess I'm going to tap the thermostat housing. This isn't for a 240, it's for a turbo laser, so I have room to do it.

if you dont put it on the block you need to ground it for electrical gagues, the little rad hose adapters need to be grounder as well thereis a screw for it to be done

I bought an adapter from nissport. it was 30 bux or something though. it is like a coupler but has a port in it, when I look back It would have been a lot cheaper and pretty easy to just go from the bleed screw.

I drilled and tapped my bleeder screw and my temps are on the dot, the only thing is I had to go to the store and buy liquid gasket maker, and a couple of copper rings...on s14's the turbo water line connects to the water outlet elbow...
