I am pulling my motor and installing all new gasket kit for everything & was wondering what I can use to clean the crap out of my motor to get her looking nice and shiny again? Is there a solvent and some kind of tool I can take to the motor to make the engine loose that caked on dirt look and really eat through years of caked on mess?

Thanks for any info...

Get a bunch of cans of engine degreaser at Walmart for 88 cents a can.

I'd say WD40? But brake cleaner does also do the job..

simple green concentrated works 2nd best, if u guys have access to "Red Hot" that shit works Excellent, thats the stuff my dad uses at his car dealer ship to remove oil stains from cement. i got a 50 gallon barrel of that shit, if u were local i would give u some. If u want me to ship u some im down.. lol..

simple green concentrated works 2nd best,

I agree on the simple green suggestion. Get a huge jug of the cleaner and mix 5:1 instead of the light-duty 10:1 SG/water ratio. You will have an easier time with the grime.
