I think its my trans, i give it gas let go of the clutch and it moves only up till right under 3krpm's, then no matter what i do floor it tap it give it alittle more gas my rpm's just jump up to 5k as if i was in neutral. And its not like I get any power from it. RPM's jump tires craw!! its like i gas and a minute later im at where i should be a minute ago...

Can some one confirm to me that its most likely my transmission?!?! thanks!! :Ownedd:

you should check to see if the slave cylinder is alright and check the sensors on the tranny...OR you have a crazy slipping clutch.

its not your transmission

your clutch is probably done

time for a new clutch

when you are taking it apart to look at that transmission, look at the clutch, as was suggested

Clutch x2937503285023. If it was something in your transmission it would make lots of loud grindy nasty noises.

HANDS DOWN! its the clutch.... if it was the slave, youd have pedal problems... if it was the tranny you couldnt put it in gear....

I'd say it *might* be the clutch ;)

Ummm...I would make sure that the clutch is fully releasing. It's supposed to have a little freeplay at the top so you know that is releasing. Make proper adjustments then move on to the big stuff.

clutch not releasing = 100% totally different symptoms

hard shifting
hard starting
no pressure in the pedal

-> clutch will always be engaged

in his case the clutch *is* engaged, but simply isn't 'catching'

the problem is clearly your horn. swap it out for one that plays the "la cu-ca rah-cha" song and that'll fix up everything. I had the same problem with my s14, got the horn, fixed it all up.

don't believe them when they say its your clutch. take my word for it. ;p

My word you're a dick. Do you say anything helpful in any thread?

Perhaps you should look around in the other threads I've posted in to gauge my contributions, but before you do that... Look above genius; you know what you call 6 consecutive posts clearly indicating what Sanchi's problem is? It’s called CONSENUS dork. It's his clutch and he knows that now thanks to everybody who helped him out. My comment wasn't meant to be negative man, get some guy friends... seriously.

Just because somebody's a moderator doesn't automatically grant them the right to call somebody a dick for not stating the obvious. I'm sure many would agree.

I'll back off tho; cool that Sanchi's pointed in the right direction. in the end thas all that matters.

That's because autos have clutch packs and clutch bands inside that are actuated by servos. So those can wear out and do the same thing.
